What is on the ARRT CT exam

The ARRT computed tomography exam is a fixed form. You answer 195 questions in 195 minutes; 165 of them are scored and 30 are unscored pilot questions being trialled for future exams. Under the specifications ARRT approved in July 2025, in force since 1 September 2026, the scored questions break down as:

How the NMTCB(CT) exam differs

The NMTCB CT exam is 200 multiple choice questions in three hours and 30 minutes, and it is not adaptive. NMTCB divides it into seven content areas rather than four, with the approximate shares:
