NMT Prep ("we," "our," or "us") provides study tools for the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) and ARRT(N) board examinations, along with a job board for nuclear medicine technologists. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using NMT Prep, including our mobile apps and website at nucmedboards.com, you agree to this policy.
1. Who We Are
NMT Prep is an educational service designed to help students and professionals prepare for their nuclear medicine board examinations. We also operate a job board at nucmedboards.com where employers can advertise positions and technologists can browse opportunities.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account information: If you sign in using Google, we receive your name, email address, and a Google-provided user identifier. Signing in is optional for browsing our content.
- Job postings: When an employer posts a job, we collect the job title, company name, location, job description, contact email, salary range (optional), and the posting user's account identifier.
- Examinee tips: When a user submits a study tip or exam experience, we collect the month and year the exam was taken, the exam type (NMTCB or ARRT(N)), and the text of the tip. Tips are displayed to other users without your name attached.
- Payment information for job postings: Job posting payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not receive or store credit card numbers or bank account details. Stripe provides us with a transaction confirmation only.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: We store your study progress, bookmarks, and quiz statistics locally on your device. This information is not transmitted to us unless you are signed in.
- Log information: Our hosting providers (Google Firebase and Netlify) may automatically record standard log data such as IP address, device type, operating system, and timestamps for security and operational purposes.
What we do not collect
- We do not collect health records or medical information about you personally.
- We do not collect precise device location.
- We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party.
- Our mobile apps do not display advertisements and do not use a Google Advertising ID.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To operate the study tools, mock exams, case studies, and flashcards
- To display approved job listings on the job board
- To display approved examinee tips in the Examinee Insights section
- To communicate with you about job postings you have submitted
- To process payments for job postings (via Stripe)
- To monitor and improve the reliability and security of our services
- To comply with legal obligations
4. How Information Is Shared
We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers: We use Google Firebase (Firestore and Authentication), Netlify, and Stripe to operate our services. These providers access information only as needed to perform their services and are bound by their own privacy terms.
- Public postings: Approved job listings appear publicly on the job board. Approved examinee tips appear publicly in the Examinee Insights section. Do not submit information you do not want publicly visible.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or legal process, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
- Business transfers: If NMT Prep is acquired or merged, user information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to the new owner honoring this policy.
5. Data Retention
We keep account information for as long as your account is active. Job postings and examinee tips are retained indefinitely as historical records unless you request deletion. Payment records are retained for at least seven years as required by tax and accounting laws.
6. Your Choices and Rights
- Access and deletion: You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it by emailing us at the address below. We will respond within 30 days.
- Job posting removal: If you posted a job and want it removed, email us and include the posting details.
- Google sign-in: You can revoke our access to your Google account at any time by visiting your Google account permissions page.
- Local data: You can clear your local study progress by uninstalling the app or clearing the app's storage in your device settings.
7. Children's Privacy
NMT Prep is designed for adult students and professionals preparing for certification examinations. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security measures provided by Google Firebase (including encrypted connections and authentication controls) and Stripe (PCI-compliant payment processing) to protect the information we handle. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International Users
NMT Prep is operated from the United States. If you access our services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
Our services may contain links to third-party websites (including Stripe checkout and Google sign-in pages). This Privacy Policy does not cover those third-party sites. We encourage you to review their own privacy policies.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced on our website. Your continued use of NMT Prep after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
